April Showers Bring Pretty Tree Flowers

As my husband likes to remind me, 'this tree is only pretty two weeks out of the year!'. Well, tree, it's your two weeks, and you sure are pretty!!!

Oh, hello, city employee vehicles that park in front of my house while they tear up the entire street. Starting at 7:00 in the morning. Welcome!! Glad to have you!! **sarcasm**

Little man: Momma? Can I pick out my outfit today?

Momma: Sure!

Little Man: Can I wear my tie? I haven't worn my tie for awhile.

Momma: Sure, why not!

Little Man: Do I look like Brian Williams on the news?

Momma: Well, yes you do!!

And yes, he wore this outfit to school. With the exception of the hat. Any proper gentleman knows you remove your hat indoors. Okay. We are working on that.

My mini-man and my menu

First of all. We had a birthday. We are six now. And by we, I mean he:

He is convinced you only grow the night before your birthday. He thinks he woke up six inches taller. If that's the case, I'm really concerned. I'll be 9 feet 2 inches in August. Yikes.

Our menu this week looks like this:

SUNDAY: popcorn. always has been. always will be. and IZZE's. they are good. and local.

MONDAY: tacos

TUESDAY: tuna patties and steamed veggies

WEDNESDAY: hot wings on the grill

THURSDAY: baked spaghetti

FRIDAY: pork chops and wild rice
